General description
Thank you for your interest in our trip for one day. Our company is offering you one day excursion to you during your official or short term visit in Mongolia.
You will be guided to Equestrian Statue of the Genghis Khan, a pride of Mongol nation, where you can reach after 53 kilometers distance from Ulaanbaatar city by car. The statue is 40 meters’ tall and covers a total area of 212 hectares. Visitors can reach up to the statue by elevator built inside horse leg and can stop over a mini cinema to watch a documentary about how the statues was built. Thereafter, you can overlook natural beauty of surroundings on the horse encolure (neck of the horse statue). Historical places connected to Genghis Khan namely BurkhanKhaldun mountain range, DeluunBoldog and Khuduu Aral can be seen. Base of the statue, a round shaped structure, has 36 pillars that represent 36 kings of royal blood.There are art gallery, museum that has collection of ancient Mongolian HunnuEmpire, restaurant, conference hall, meeting room, and billiard and as well as souvenir shops inside the structure.The Equestrian Statue of Genghis Khan as he holds a whip was made of 250 tons of steel and it will be replaced once in 13 years. Currently, the statue is considered the largest among all Equestrian Statues in the World.

13thcentury complex
You will be offered to visit 13th century complex during the excursion to explore Equestrian Statues of Genghis Khan. The complex is located 36 kilometers’ away in south east from Equestrian Statues. It creates a great opportunity for tourists to relive 13th century lifestyles and it is a tiny kingdom where you will have a great impression as if you traveled through the ancient time.
The complex consists of 6 different relay station camps:
1. Priest camp
The priests welcome the visitors and introduce about the camp. You can worship white and black flags and can have your photo taken in Mongolian army dress.
2. Craftsmen camp
Here, you will enjoy observing the how the women of the 13th century was making handcrafts such as needlework, appliques and woolen artworks. Besides, you will have opportunity to visit other camps.
3. Educational camp
You will be able to deepen your knowledge about origins of Mongolian traditional script which is indicated as only a vertical script in the World. You will also have unique chance to have your name written by literacy officials in old script on a papyrus.Traditions of Mongolians to keep books and sutras will be explored as there is plenty of books and sutras written in Mongolian old script are kept.
4. Herder’s camp
You will visit a nomadic family that constantly moves following the pasture.Tourists will be introduced daily life events of Mongolianssuch as producing dairy foods with possibility of taking part in the process personally.Traditional ceremonies related to domestic animals and traveling around on a horse or two humped camel are offered in this camp as well.
5. Shaman’s camp
Ceremonies of shamans that Mongolians worshiped from the ancient time will be introduced here. You will have opportunity to explore shaman’s dwelling and its costumes. In addition, you can take part in sacrificing python (land and water) and shaman’s precipitation. You can also have your fortune told if you wish to.
6. King’s palace
In this camp, you can taste different traditional foods and beverages and visit palaces of ancient queen, deputy minister and commanders as well.
